Mack's 2007 U.S. Class 8 (heavy-duty) retail sales totaled 13,438 units, which represented 8.9 percent of the heavy truck market. In 2006, Mack posted U.S. Class 8 retail sales of 29,524 units, which represented 10.4 percent of the heavy truck market.
In other markets:
- Mack's Canadian subsidiary, Mack Canada, Inc., recorded 2007 retail sales of 1,655 units, representing a 6.6 percent market share.
- Mack Trucks Australia Pty. Ltd., recorded sales of 1,323 units, which represented a 9.9 percent share of the Australian heavy-duty truck market.
- Mack de Venezuela recorded sales of 1,992 units, or 18 percent of the country's heavy-duty truck market.
- Mack's North American export sales in 2007 were 5,343 units, amounting to a 16.7 percent share of the market.
As of January 1, 2008, the company employed 4,241 people around the world.
